Welcome Aboard Starship Voidfish

Hi there. If you're reading this, you're probably someone we care about and trust enough to invite in a little closer.

This wiki is a semi-public space created by our system -- Starship Voidfish -- to help explain who we are, how we work, and what it's like to share a mind and life together. It exists so that people we love can understand us better, and so that we can speak more freely about our internal world without needing to re-explain everything from scratch.

This wiki has a few pages to help explain who we are and how we experience the world. You can start with Preferred Language to understand the terms we use, or check out More about Dissociation if you want a deeper look at how dissociation and plurality work for us. The System Overview gives a summary of our Crew as a whole.

If you're curious to learn more about each of us individually, you can read our bios here: Skylar, Lily, Alex, and Abby.

What Is Plurality?

At its simplest: we are more than one person sharing this brain and body.

This experience is called plurality, and people who experience it may refer to themselves as a system. There are many types of systems and many reasons people become plural -- sometimes trauma-related, sometimes not -- but this wiki isn't trying to explain every version of that. We're just explaining us.

If this idea is new or strange to you, that's okay. It might help to think of it like this: inside one mind, there can be different selves with their own perspectives, memories, and roles. Some are more active than others, some are more talkative, and some come and go quietly. But all of them are real, and all of them are part of the same whole.

What This Wiki Is

This site is an introduction to our system -- Starship Voidfish -- and our Crew. You'll find pages about the individuals who live here, and some information about us as a system and how we work together. If you're here with an open mind and a kind heart, then thank you. It means the world to us.
